About

Our mission as a producing group is to ask deep questions of the audience as to how social networking sites have impacted our lives. We hope that by asking these important questions all of us will be more cognizant of the way we communicate in this technological age. Social networking allows people to broadcast themselves personally and in anonymity, causing new issues to arise about characterization online. Social network sites like Facebook have increased our ability to communicate, in both positive and negative ways. In a positive manner, social networking sites connect people in ways they never could before, but also negatively impacts productivity, facilitates hate-speech. The magnifying effect of Facebook increases the spread of both good and bad news, meaning we have to be more cautious about vocalizing our thoughts and opinions.
